City of Flagstaff Tennis

The City of Flagstaff Tennis Program offers lessons for all ages and skill levels.


Rick Goldwasser has worked as a tennis professional in Flagstaff for the past 10 years. For 24 years before coming to Flagstaff, he taught every level of tennis from tots to seniors at the SCORE Tennis Center near Chicago. The SCORE Tennis Center is best known for its outstanding junior programs. He has taught and mentored nationally ranked juniors players and top-performing adult league players.

  • Rick is avaialble to teach tennis lessons to all skill levels at any time during the week or weekend.

Continental Country Club

CCC offers tennis lessons and activities to members, and membership is open to the general public.

Forest Highlands

The Forest Highlands Golf Club provides tennis programming for adults and junior (club members and non-members).  There is something for all ages and skill levels.


Nicole Williams-Chamber, USPTA certified teaching professional with 25 years of experience, provides a variety of lessons, clinics, challenge ladders, camps, tournaments, and team tennis opportunities for adults and juniors.

Nicole founded the Flagstaff Junior Tennis Academy (FJTA), which has been developing Flagstaff area junior players since 2008.

Trent Hayward

Trent Hayward, USPTA certified teaching professional, oversees programming at various sites in the Flagstaff area.

Trent has been involved with the sport of tennis for most of his life, both as a player and coach. He began teaching tennis at age nine by coaching the Columbus (Ohio) Special Olympics Tennis Program, which he continued to coach for the next seven years. He has instructed tennis in many public and private venues throughout his career.

Aspiring players of all ages will benefit from Trent's extensive experience as both a top-level competitor and seasoned tennis coach.
